Victoria – CIA VIC
Since 1952 CIA Vic has
represented manufacturers,
retailers and service providers
in the caravan and camping
industry, including caravans,
motor homes, 5th wheelers,
tent trailers, tents, accessories,
relocatable homes, hire
facilities and repair services.
And with over 90% of all
caravans and RVs made in
Victoria, it makes sense to
have a strong industry body.
CIA Vic makes sure that all
their members are aware of
the current legislation and
regulations that affect their
products through in-house
training and workshops.
CIA Vic run four major
caravan and camping shows
each year to highlight the new
products and innovations
within the industry.

the appropriate regulations
and standards

caravan, the skills cross so
many different areas and
therefore understanding the
requirements isn’t always
easy. We also provide advice,
education, training and
support to our members.
“At shows we have a
responsibility to ensure all
products on display meet the

standards and regulations.
Only CIA Victoria members can
participate in our shows and
they must comply with these
regulations. Unfortunately,
there is only one chance for
compliance issues. We
conduct compliance checks at
all of our shows and also invite
VicRoads and the Victorian
Building Commission
(Plumbing Industry
Commission) and Energy Safe
Victoria to conduct audits and
provide feedback,” said Daniel.
