St Helens Concert
The weather also meant
that we had to move the
concert from the park to the
Portland Community Hall.
Although there was plenty
of room at Hillcrest, 60+ ml
of rain in one day do not
help when you are going
to be outside.
There is a fantastic
grapevine in St Helens. At
around 4.30 we finally made
the change of venue, and by
5.30 pm the crowds were
heading into the hall. It didn’t
take much to get the news
around. A couple of people
rang the park and then the
news spread.
The people from St Helens
were out to have a great time
and that is just what they did.
From the first act, the
audience were part of it.
Joining in with songs, plenty
of laughter and ready to party.
