FESTIVALS THE AUSTRALIAN CELTIC FESTIVAL – Glen Innes (NSW) Glen Innes, home to Australia's own Standing Stones hosts this festival over the first weekend in May. Indulge in all things Celtic. THE PORT FAIRY FOLK MUSIC FESTIVAL – Port Fairy (VIC) The festival, over the Vic Labour Day weekend, is packed with folk music, poetry, and bush ballads. It’s also really popular and often sells out way in advance. DARWIN FESTIVAL – Darwin (NT) 18 days in August of arts, drama, theatre, and music events with big name acts from all over the world. Plus a 'Teddy Bears’ Picnic' in the park. TAMBORINE MOUNTAIN SCARECROW FESTIVAL – Tamborine Mountain (QLD) This is held mid-October and scarecrows are everywhere. You can take the 'Spot the Scarecrow Discovery Trail‘ to see the best ones. GOOMERI PUMPKIN FESTIVAL – Goomeri (QLD) What’s the Great Australian Pumpkin Roll?
