TO WET A LINE!

1 Bay SA

– a perfect spot along the
Eyre Peninsula’s eastern
side. Catch squid and King
George Whiting from the
jetty. Want snapper, then a
boat is best in the offshore
waters.

North Stradbroke Island QLD
– the protected waters of
Moreton Bay are a perfect
breeding ground for bream
and whiting. Be wary of the
regular dolphins that visit
the eastern side – perhaps
take a beach rod to Flinders
Beach instead.

3 Coffs Harbour NSW

– the waters of Coffs Harbour
make a great spot to wet a
line. Solitary Islands Marine
Park is home to a variety
of species. Or cruise out to
the open waters for a bit of
game fishing.

4 Exmouth WA

– with the Ningaloo Reef
so close to shore, trevally,
bream and squid are often
caught from the jetty. Grab a
zoning map from the tackle
shop as some areas a
restricted to fishing.

5 Walkerville VIC

– this small village is a
favourite for many to fish.
Launch your boat from the
beach, choose a rocky
outcrop to cast a line or
cast right from the beach.
