Bowentown is all about
beaches, and the road into
town has an 8km stretch of
perfect beachside road. The
change from countryside to
beach had Terry and Ally
ready to hit the water as
soon as they could.
Why not start at the
surfing beach? If you can’t
surf or are a bit rusty, then
take an on-beach lesson as
Terry did from Aidan Comrie.
Ally just went for it. Surfing
is perfect for beginners
through to professionals.

High octane fun needs
good food and Ally made
the most of her time in
Waihi Beach to stock up at
the Farm Gate Deli and
Kitchen.
She also headed out to
Anzac Bay in a kayak, hired
from the park, and just
enjoyed paddling around in
the natural peace and quiet.
