Why did you join : I joined Buzz Robotics thanks to a family friend , Liz Donovan . She brought me along to one of the competitions one day so I could see what truly happens in Buzz Robotics . Once there , I fell in love , from watching robots race across a field and kids in the pit fixing their robot .
Favorite part of Buzz : My favorite part of Buzz is being able to work on the Newsletter . It is a different side of Buzz , apart from the engineering side , it is the marketing side . It just shows that Buzz Robotics can supply their students with skills that can be used in different career field such as journalism , teaching , or much more .
Most memorable moment in your time on Buzz : During my freshman year of Buzz Robotics the team took the annual trip to the World Championships thanks to our Chairman ’ s Award . As we went through the competition we started to win our challenges until we made it to the finals in our division . After the final match we had thought we had won and went to Einstein . However , we had lost , but that thrill of almost winning was invigorating .
Future plans : I have applied to multiple colleges . Of the ones I have been accepted into , I chose Springfield College . I am going for secondary education in biology . After working with buzz , the one thing I ’ ve admired about mentors is how they are able to teach us so much and so I hope I may be a great teacher as they are .
