The Soul Train Impact is a
non-profit
organization
that provides funding for
books for college students. In addition the Impact continues in the legacy of Don Cornelius by
providing an outlet for our
youth to express themselves through the art of
entertainment. STI produces free educational panel discussions and talent showcases throughout the year.
These events provide up and coming entertainment professionals with the knowledge and direction to sustained
successful careers in the entertainment industry. The panelists are experts at the top of their field in the industry.
The event was held at Columbia College-Chicago and
free to attend with delicious healthy free food.

Billboard Hip Hop and R&B Radio Award Large Market
APD/MD . First lady is also a freelance consultant for
internet and college radio stations. Providing solutions and
implementing programming strategies, not only to improve
the overall station sound, but to grow listenership as well.
As a DJ/Mixer, she provides mix content for internet stations located in the U.S. and in the U.K.
Kennard Gibbs is the owner of
Soul Train LLC, he purchased the
brand directly from Don Cornelius.
He is the former President of Vibe
Magazine and also worked as
group publisher for Ebony & Jet
Magazine . He is currently in a new
position with BET/CENTRIC

colleague of Soul Train part
owner Kenard Gibbs, Mrs.
Teena
Sloane-Hendricks.
Mrs. Hendricks built her career in the nonprofit sector
and always had passion for
the youth. She established a
foundation known as Public
Positivity and took children of
color on educational excursions to African Americanowned corporations across the country. The children had
the opportunity to gain firsthand knowledge and get an up
close and personal look into the function, structure, and
daily operations of the business. Mrs. Hendricks has
worked with many famous brands, radio stations and television networks.

Sean Long is an Emmy nominated program director, for
WCIU TV handling more than 12
stations in the Midwest region.
WCIU is the station that Soul
