A six-day extravaganza with over 200 events celebrating science and
the arts, the Festival will explore Mysteries of the Mind, Music and
Sound, Our Future World and everything in between. Hear from
leading experts and entertainers on a host of topics and get hands-on
in a series of interactive zones including the MakerShack – a hub of
invention and creativity.
Cheltenham Community Choir
Summer Concert
Sunday 18 June, 2.00pm, Cheltenham Town Hall
The choir is a joint venture between Cheltenham Town Hall and
Gloucestershire’s oldest amateur operatic and dramatic society, CODS.
The choir is under the experienced direction of Leeds University
alumna and NODA award-winning Musical Director, Beverley Whitaker.
The summer concert comp rises a vibrant mix of music, showcasing
numbers from a wide range of popular musicals and more.

Walk a Mile in My Shoes 2017 Cheltenham Philharmonic Orchestra
Sunday 11 June, 11.00am, Pittville Pump Room and Park
A fantastic family fun day and carer awareness event with activities
for children and adults. Carers information, free music and children’s
entertainment from the Music Man and circus skills. Browse the craft
booths, get your face painted, enjoy food from an array of stalls as
well as refreshments from the tea tent and licensed bar. Swap shoes
and join in the sponsored walk to raise funds for local carers.

Summer Concert – English Fantasy

We are delighted to present an afternoon of music representing some
of the most beautiful English music ever written. Holst is featured
twice in what has been a difficult year for our home-grown composer’s
birthplace museum, which we are proud to support. This concert,
the last of our 2016/17 Season, is held in memory of Colin Burrow a
member and friend of the orchestra for over thirty years.

The Ukulele Festival of Great Britain

awesome ukulele acts in the world, together with workshops, stalls,
busks, jams, raffles and more. This year we’re going all psychedelic,
celebrating the 50 th anniversary of the Summer of Love – the songs,
