Long time substitute teacher Mr. Soroka celebrated his birthday on Nov. 26th. Students at UHS surprised him with a special celebration. Mr. Soroka gave a speech of thanks and it was a tear dropper!
Here are some fun facts about Mr. Soroka:
-He was born [in 1926] and raised in Newark.
-He also ran an alternative school in Newark.
-He retired from the Navy as a Lieutenant.
-He’s been happily married for 54 years.
-He has 2 older living sisters, ages 94 & 95.
