The Peer Ambassador Leadership Program at UHS was first established in 2012 as a group of students who would serve as mentors for the incoming freshman class . Since that time, the group has evolved under the guidance of School Councelor Patricia Bridges to a full leadership program that provides a space and place where students realize the leader is with in them by offering opportunities to exercise innovation, initiative and strengh-based leadership.
In 2015, the Peer Ambassadors took a International Service Learning trip to Jarabacu Republica Dominicana. In 2017, another group of studetns traveled to Cabarete Republica Dominicana.
