Throughout the discussions between the Association and its representatives, it became clear just how important it is for members of government to meet face-to-face with the people who make up the industry. By reaching out and visiting the capitol, members also encouraged their congressmen to return the favor, and tour their wood pallet and recycling facilities themselves.
Houston Smith is a student at Michigan State University studying International Relations with a concentration on science, technology, and environment policy and economics. He is currently interning for the National Wooden Pallet and Container Association.
