MOVERS & SHAKERS SHERRIE HUNTER DIRECTOR OF EDUCATION, RALEIGH COUNTY SOLID WASTE AUTHORITY Sherrie Hunter is known for "talking trash." Since 2001, the Beckley native has served as the Director of Education for the Raleigh County Solid Waste Authority, a job through which she created the first county-wide School Recycling Program. During the past 18 years, Hunter has grown the program to include every public and several private schools in the county. And when she's not on the road visiting the schools, she's playing host to students who visit the Recycling Center, as they learn the "three Rs" — reduce, reuse and recycle. Hunter, who also serves on the Beckley Common Council, has been married for 39 years to David, with whom she shares two daughters and four grandchildren. WHAT IS YOUR MOST PRIZED POSSESSION?
