FOUR ❖ STARTERS 14 ❖ SOUTH ❖ APRIL-MAY '19 W.H. AND ANNIE COOPER THOMAS HOUSE. It took three years — 1909 to 1912 for the completion of the W.H. and Annie Cooper Thomas house. It has been said that Mrs. Thomas was in competition with her brother for who could build the grandest home in Bramwell. Hers includes a split staircase with a huge stained glass window that was featured in National Geographic in 1972. Guests enjoyed elaborate events in the third floor ballroom that boasts an ornate barrel vaulted ceiling. The third floor also includes a free standing marble shower.
