The model brings economic stakeholders, in- cluding private and public industry, government, nonprofits, trades and contractors, together in an effort to form lasting and impactful partner- ships with a focus on career readiness and workforce development. Fayette, Hardy, Monongalia and Wayne coun- ties were selected. The initiative in- cludes workplace tours, career explora- tion, speaker bureaus and more. Phase two of Career Readiness West Virginia will include 16 additional counties.
