Lawyers & Leaders Awards Reception [ community ] JENNIFER JETT PREZKOP WVU COLLEGE OF LAW 2018 AWARDS The choice of law as a career is one based on many considerations. Excelling in a field in which the practitioners are charged with upholding state and federal laws to ensure a safe and just society is a lifelong undertaking that requires a commitment to education. It is a path for the driven, for those who seek to be challenged on a daily basis. It is for the intelligent, the open-minded and the passionate. It is for those who will not be content if they cannot use their time and talents to make a difference in the lives of others. To honor those in the legal field who either graduated from West Virginia University (WVU) College of Law or now work in West Virginia and go above and beyond in their prac- tices, West Virginia Executive magazine partnered with the WVU College of Law in 2017 to create a legal-specific awards program called Lawyers & Leaders. On August 16, 2018, the honorees of the program’s second class were recognized for their commitment to the law profession and the communities they serve.
