This new partnership will allow the physicians at The Green-
brier Clinic to refer patients to some of the top experts in specific
fields for extended treatment. New services will also be offered
on a periodic basis, including neurology, rheumatology, hema-
tology/oncology and expanded gastroenterology.
Contractors Association of West Virginia Names New
Assistant Executive Director
The Contractors Association of West Virginia (CAWV)
has named Patrick McDonald as assistant executive director.
McDonald will coordinate a number of activities and programs
that will provide CAWV members with value for their dues
investment.
“Pat’s demonstrated leadership and commitment to building
strong relationships in the construction industry over the past
nine years have been a tremendous benefit to contractors in West
Virginia and to members of the CAWV,” says Mike Clowser,
CAWV’s executive director.
Thomas Named to Board of Directors for Community
Bankers of West Virginia
David Thomas, president and CEO of Clear Mountain Bank,
has been elected to serve on the board of directors for the
Community Bankers of West Virginia, a trade association that
represents and promotes community banking across the state.
Thomas was named president and CEO of Clear Mountain
Bank on January 1, 2017, and has served on the bank’s board
of directors since 2003. He also currently serves on the board
of directors and as secretary for Milan Puskar Health Right
and is on the advisory council for the West Virginia University
College of Business and Economics MBA Program.
Meridian Behavioral Health Systems Purchases
Highland Hospital
Meridian Behavioral Health Systems of Brentwood, TN, has
completed its purchase of Highland Hospital of Charleston.
Programs, staff and local leadership at Highland will remain
in place. Meridian has assumed all liabilities for Highland’s
pension fund, real estate and leases.

West Virginia Broadband Enhancement Council Launches
Internet Speed Test
The West Virginia Broadband Enhancement Council is seeking
public participation in a new initiative as part of its mission to provide
affordable and accessible broadband service throughout the state.
The council has created a speed test portal that allows state
residents to accurately measure their internet speed. The speed
test will provide the data needed to generate a statewide broad-
band coverage map that will accurately identify the presence
and level of broadband service in the state.
The speed test, located at https://broadband.wv.gov, is inde-
pendently administered through an internet speed testing and
analysis company.
