concert, so we elected to veer off the French line, and travelled
a fair amount of our journey through the Simpson on the WAA
line, while making a detour to visit the lone gum tree. We also
stopped to see the Knolls before heading back onto the French
line & out via QAA into Birdsville. The plan worked as although,
at times there was a bit of oncoming traffic to navigate, there
