Here we go again and what a fabulous start to the new committee year.
Our New Year see’s the arrival of our New CLUB TRAILER along with a
very exciting New Committee who will steer us through the next 12
month.
I would like to thank all the members who have put trust in me for another year being elected
President. Congratulations to the new committee members coming onto the committee for the first
time or return, Stuart Webster – Vice President, Rachel Webster – Treasurer, Fred Schenck – DTU,
Kirri Ord – Editor, Mike Byers – SAA, and Tanya Smith – Visitor Liaison, not to forget those who have
stayed on, Richard Smith - Trip Co ordinater, Daryl Evans – Social Secretary/Digital media Officer,
Michelle Penpraze – Merchandise officer, Susan Byers – Secretary, Joel Bristow – Public Officer, and
I’m back as President
The Alan Kendall Memorial trophy, Alan and Heathers inspiration to start
our club in 1985 has brought so many great friendships together over the
years, a fitting start to our yearly best club person trophy. In the coming
Magazines there will be a checklist and nomination form for you to
nominate who you think was the best club contributor for 2017. The
presentation will be at our final meeting in December.
I’m going to put some names up for consideration as I really don’t want
their individual efforts forgotten

Please remember all the good things members do, I can’t name everyone on here but there has
been some outstanding efforts for our Club.
Keep the trips going, at the end of the day we are about trips and using our trucks.
