My Camping Experience
Trev
Kirri invited everyone to do a little storey on how they camp, what we use and favourite
places to camp. I thought I would throw a few lines together.
I have been camping since I was a kid through Cubs/Scouts and Venturers along with
travelling with my ol Dad, I was lucky to grow up in an age where there was no smart
phones or computers our fun was made up camping on the Werribee river , Werribee
mansion long before it became one of Victoria’s premium tourist spots.
I have had many tents big and small I also had 2 Jayco Doves which I loved and would have
again over a camper trailer, everyone knows my thoughts on that lol
These days until I get to the stage of buying a caravan I use
Oztent. I’m on my second Oztent I recently sold my RV4 and
gone for the bigger RV5. I love my Oztent for many reasons:
The speed of putting it up – 6 pegs is all that is needed
for a basic camp.
The fast set up makes it awesome for the big touring
trips like Cape York, Central Australia where you set up
and pack up almost daily.
Oztent gives me the versatility of being a long term camp with
plenty of space and height for great comfort:
Oztent allows me to turn it into a multiroom tent with
front walls and front.
Easy setup with minimal effort, very quick
Plenty of air vents
Packs up into a narrow 2 metre pack
Allows me to travel anywhere without towing
Better Fuel economy
Having a separate camp setup allows me to go off on
night drives without packing my car.
Front awning gives me a kitchen area
Fully connects to my Fox wing.
Oztent is a fully integrated camping system
