4WD day trip to Ballarat State Forests Region Sunday 26 th March 2017
Sunday 26th March 2017 , I thought I ' d like to explore some tracks that were different & that we hadn ' t done before .
We decided to head up to explore some of the Ballarat State Forest regions and see what we could find in there . Our convoy of 4 vehicles ventured out , excited for a day of exploration . We hit the tracks through Scarsdale , and immediately we fell into unexpected excitement . I promised the day would probably bring out the winches , and not to disappoint , they were bought out on our first track . Being Amy Penpraze ' s
first real 4wd track she ' d been on as a passenger , I thought her head was going to explode off her shoulders after we successfully navigated our first hairy hurdle . The Smith ' s Prado was the next successor , but it proved to be too challenging for the Mercieca Terrano ( who nearly gave us all a heart attack with his death defying wheel air hang time ), and poor Ash ' s Hilux that just couldn ' t get passed the first section & had to winch himself up the hill . After all making it through ( unfortunately Dave was not unscathed , his Rock slider took a beating ), we pushed through into the Jubilee Historic area of Staffordhsire Reef . Finding a nice ruin was a great spot for our lunch stop . Moving forward & onto a large area throughout
