Building resilience
helps children heal
and soar.
Wellspring’s Early Learning classrooms
are designed to foster resilience and
healing.
All our staff is trained in reflective
practices – a method of interacting with
children that recognizes each behavior
as a form of communication. This type
of intervention is especially effective for
children coping with extreme stress.
This environment - called a ”reflective
network”– means continuous
opportunities for building resilience and
healing for every child, each of whom is
experiencing the stress and uncertainty
of crisis, including homelessness. During
a child’s most vital stages of
development, this intervention is highly
effective.
And we coach parents in reflective
practices, helping create a stronger
sense of safety and security outside of
school as well. In turn, parents gain new
hope and skills for a brighter and more
stable path for their family.
