WELLINGTON TODAY 2017 WELLINGTON COLLEGE CHINA BOARDING AT WELLINGTON PUPILS’ TESTIMONIALS AT BENSION ‘As a member of the boarding house, I really enjoy and value the time that I spend with my room-mates, who have been been each other’s family by supporting one another. In boarding, there are lots of activities waiting for you, especially for a weekend boarder. We hang out every Sunday regularly, for instance, ice hiking and skiing, with visits to the Water Park and Zoo. What I love the most about Benson is that we can make lots of friends, improving our social and communication skills. Studying in the Library during preparation after school builds up an atmosphere of studying independently, and also encourages us to learn better. It truly helps us with our school work in order to achieve higher grades. Being part of this big family, I’ve become more independent and organized, learned how to deal with all kinds of relationship issues, and to improve my unique personality. This makes me feel free in Benson, and I don’t struggle in speaking with them. I feel very safe in Benson. Every time we arrive at the Benson or leave Benson, we go together, and make sure no one is missing. In the morning, we wake at 7am. There’s a matron who will call us in the morning, so we don’t have to worry about being late. After we get up and dress, it is around 7:40am, we go to school. Then it’s breakfast, which is good, we eat till 8:15am, then the normal school day starts. ‘Currently, I’m living in the dormitory of the school with 5 other friends in a girls’ apartment. As a total, we have approximately 20 pe
