he Physician Health Program is a service of the Ontario
Medical Association designed to assist Ontario physicians,
residents and medical students who may be experiencing
a wide range of problems such as stress, burnout, workrelated conflict, emotional, marital and family problems,
psychiatric illness and substance use disorders.
Services include problem assessment, brief advice and referral for definitive assessment, counselling or treatment. The program also offers comprehensive monitoring, case management, and advocacy for individuals
recovering from substance dependence.
The program offers these services on a confidential basis. For further
