PDA and its district and local dental societies provide continuing education courses on
infection control, diagnosis and treatment of oral pathosis and all phases of clinical
dentistry.

Child Abuse Recognition
and Reporting
CE Requirements
Act 31 mandates that any licensees of
health-related boards must complete two
(2) hours of continuing education in child
abuse recognition and reporting for each
licensure renewal period. In order to receive
credit, the course must be approved by both
the PA State Board of Dentistry and the
Department of Human Services.

Online Radiology CE
Course* (2 CE credits)
Pennsylvania regulation requires dentists
and any dental staff member involved with
taking X-rays to maintain continuing educa-
tion in radiation safety. PDA developed a
FREE online Radiology PowerPoint and
online quiz with certificate issued upon
completion for all member dentists and their
non-dentist staff, good for up to four years.
