Weekend Warrior Woodworking Issue #1 December 2013 | Page 48

Hi, this is Pete Perrello and today I’m reviewing the Click-n-Lock scroll saw lift arm by Bigfoot Products of Canada. The Click-n-Lock is an acrylic arm that allows the scroll saw arm to lock in the upright position for easy blade changes. To lock the scroll saw arm in the upright position you simply lift it until you hear a click. To unlock the arm and lower the scroll saw head simply lift the saw arm slightly, pull the Lift-n-Lock arm away from the saw head and lower the saw arm. It’s that easy. The Lift-n-Lock works by engaging the bolt head at the front of the arm against the black cover on the head of the scroll saw (see picture). Installation took less than 5 minutes and required only a few basic tools to remove the two existing bolts at the top of the saw and mount the Click-n-Lock arm with the two supplied bolts, nuts and acrylic washers. A 7/16” wrench and socket and a Torx T27 socket were all I needed to install the Lift-n-Lock.
