After the dado's were cut, I started the cabinet assembly. For whatever reason I varied the assembly proccess from the door. I glued up both sides and the bottom first. I then realized I had made a two errors when cutting the dadoes but it was too late to correct since glue had already been applied.

The first mistake I should have caught. I was just not paying attention and did even realize I had made to mistake until after I glued-up the first dovetails joints.

I cut the dado's on opposite ends of the sides. One dado 3" from the bottom, the other 3" from the top.

The challenge was now that cabinet was partially glued up with both sides and the bottom in place. I had to figure out how to cut the dado. I could not fit the router on the guide rail because there was no room with the bottom in place. I marked the sides for the dado and started to chop away with a chisel. It was going okay but decided to try a different method.

I set the guide rail just shy of my pencil line on the right side and used the TS75 and guide stop to make a cut that stopped about 1/2" of the where the stopped dado ended. I repeated this a few times until I had the correct width of the shelf. I then chopped out the remaining 1/2" with a chisel.

Second mistake- The first dado that I cut was marked improperly.

See here how I have my combo square on the left and shelf stock on the right. This was wrong! I needed the combo square on the right and the shelf on the left.

So now I had to fix the dado on other other side of the cabinet, which I did in the same manner as above. Now I have a big gap where dado is supposed go and had to come up with a solution. Before I came up with a solution I decided to fix the extra dado that I cut at the top of the cabinet first.
