Our Lady of Lourdes Parish Church

Administered by the Capuchin Fathers in Tagaytay
City, the once relatively small church, was renovated
to accommodate the growing number of patrons.
Terms of Engagement
Aside from basic church
requirements like the Birth Certificate,
Certificate of No Record of Marriage
(CENOMAR), Baptismal and
Confirmation Certificate and the
marriage license the couples are
also required to undergo a canonical
interview with the parish priest
and attend a Pre-Cana Seminar
(Discovery Weekend or Catholic
Engaged Encounter). Marriage Banns
should be posted for three weeks
or announced for three consecutive
Sundays at their respective parishes.
The list of sponsors should be
submitted a month ahead, and
confessions should be taken a day
before the wedding date. The use
of the Chapel is ₱20,000 and down
payment is 50% of the total wedding
dues is required upon reservation.

Word of Wisdom
If you have your own misalette,
submit it for approval. If you have
your own priest, provide a photocopy
of his Certificate of Authority to
solemnize a marriage and notify the
parish secretary two months ahead.
The use of loose petals, confetti and
the like, are strictly prohibited. Other
arrangements with the parish should
be in written form. And please, do not
be late for your own wedding.
Special Cases
If you are not a resident, secure
permission from your own parishes to
have your marriage in Tagaytay.
Foreigners submit affidavit of legal
capacity to contract marriage (if not
civilly married) from their respective
Embassies in the Philippines or
certification from the DFA if they have
no Embassy here in Philippines.
For Mixed Marriages (Marriage
between a Catholic and non-Catholic
party) or Disparity of Cult (Marriage
between a Catholic and a non-
Christian/Atheist party) a Promise
and Declaration form to be filled in
the parish office during the canonical
interview, to be submitted to the Imus
Chancery Office (Diocese of Imus) for
approval.
For Divorced or Annulled, please
submit a copy of the official church
declaration of nullity of the previous
marriage.
And for Widow or Widower please
submit the NSO copy of death
certificate of the deceased spouse.
