Wedding TIP
Be upfront with your guests. Ask them if they intend to bring nannies
or drivers because it must be clear how many they really are so that everything will be arranged
accordingly like if kiddie chairs or booster seats are needed.

Strictly An Adult Affair
This is a matter that you and your
partner needs to decide on . Will you
limit the presence of kids on your big
day or are you going to allow your
younger relatives to join in the fun.
Whatever your choice may be make
sure to stick to your decision for
both sides of the family to practice
fairness. You may put this on the
invitation, there are a lot of polite
ways to inform your guests about the
set up.
To Pay Or Not To Pay For
• Transportation - Primarily you
are not really obliged to pay for the
transportation of your guests to your
wedding with some exceptions of
family members that you may want
to give assistance to. Majority of your
guests are able to reach out of town
weddings on their own specially if it is
only in Cavite which is relatively near
Manila.
• Accommodation – It is not a
known practice for you to shoulder
for the accommodation for your
guests should they decide to stay a
day before or after your wedding.
What you can do on the other hand
is try to ask around for affordable
accommodation for them or try to
hook them up with great group rates.
Now that is an act they will truly
appreciate.

• Tours And Other Activities - Your
guests will already be travelling to
your wedding . Since you have chosen
a place where there are a lot of spots
to visit, you may be thinking if you
need to arrange for a tour for your
guests. Here is what we suggest you
do. Create a list of activities they
may do and places they may visit if
they have free time before or after the
wedding. There is no need for you to
take on the expense your relatives
know that you are spending a lot for
the wedding. The gesture of thinking
about putting a list together would be
highly appreciated by your loved ones.
• Welcome Basket - If you have
money to spare for this , this could
be a great idea to put together a
welcome basket that contains local
delicacies of Cavite. You do not
need to splurge on this even simple
trinkets would do.

What To Wear
When choosing a wedding theme and
also the attire for your guests please
do not forget to take into account
the weather in Cavite and MetroTagaytay. Yes, you can dictate the
design of the gowns and you can also
make your entourage wear bare back
and off shoulder dresses but kindly
remind them to bring shawls, coats
and jackets for when it becomes
too cold or fog sets in. You may also
want to remind your elder relatives
to bring jackets due to the chilly
weather of the place.

Money Gifts Please
Yes, you may request for money as a
wedding gift! Nowadays, the Filipino
wedding guest is comfortable with
just giving monetary gifts rather than
carrying a bulky gifts. Putting this
gift request is widely practiced in
wedding invitations nowadays .
Alcoholic Drinks On Your
Big Day A Go Or A No?
Everyone wants to have fun at the
after party. Mobile bars are such a hit
at weddings because they allows
guests to loosen up and they bring
the “party vibe” at any wedding.
Drinking also warms up and heats up
the body that perfectly combats the
chilly weather of your venue.
You may just want to think about
posting reminders at your bar about
drinking and driving. Since you are
having an out of town wedding some
of your guests may hesitate to drink
because of driving concerns as they
will have to travel home. Our best
suggestion is to put signs on the bar
about drinking responsively, or by
asking your host to mention it a few
times that the bar is open for those
who are not designated drivers.
You want your guests to have blast
at your wedding but not to the point
that they may endanger themselves
and those riding with them , set limits.
We hope that these rules we
presented would give you a clearer
picture on the proper etiquette for
an out of town wedding. Set a good
foundation on your plans so that on
your wedding day everything will
flow smoothly.
