Other Things to Consider
• Capacity – can the place
accommodate all your guests?
Know the implications of just
having a smaller area. You
might be needing a dance floor
or requiring a space for your
entertainments.
• Budget- Can you change the
type of venue to make it fit your
budget?
• Amenities - Ample parking,
holding room, guest rooms,
ceremony area and security are
some amenities to look out for.
• Proximity – How near is the
venue to your church? Traffic
is a big factor especially on
weekends. Consider the traffic
and travel time from one point to
another.
• Rental Hours -Ingress or set up
time an d Egress or pull out time
for suppliers. These are terms
that are commonly included in
the contract.Know how many
hours in the package for the
reference of your suppliers as
well. Kindly review how much it
cost to extend your hour so that
you can come prepared.
• Limitations- Most venues have
accredited wedding suppliers
or in-house catering services.
Clarify such arrangements and
limitations. Inquire about corkage
fees and other add-ons to avoid
surprise expenses.
ON WEDDING GUESTS
It is very important for you to
find out how many guests are
you inviting to the wedding.
Remember there is a lot of
logistics involve in bringing
the guests to an out of town
wedding. Give priority to
those who are truly dear to
your hearts. Ensure guests can
really invest their time for your
wedding as it would be nice to
see that the event venue is still
packed until the end. You can
also invite them to stay for a
night and offer an affordable
list of budget friendly hotels
and inns. Check out our Budget
Accommodation article for more
details.
SITES TO SEE:
Since most of your guests would
be staying in Tagaytay before or
after the wedding, it would be
nice to send them a list of places
to visit and activities to do.
Tagaytay nightlife can be a great
party scene for your wedding
guests. You may not be able to
escort them but it is going to
make them feel well-thought of.
Add on Tip:
Group Rates , Suggested Hotels
/Inns/Houses for rent:
Since this is an out of town
wedding, accommodation
becomes a primary concern. If
the guest decides to come early
or extend their stay, though you
are not obligated to cover their
expenses, sharing information
where they could get affordable
rates or group rates would be an
appreciated gesture.
ON WEDDING SUPPLIERS
GOING LOCAL
Don’t forget to consider local
suppliers. The wedding industry
of Cavite and Tagaytay boasts
of superb and quality wedding
vendors at par or sometimes
better than the rest. Not only
you save on the cost, but more
importantly their proximity to
your venue is valuable when last
minute changes or unexpected
problems occur.
GETTING OUTSIDE
THE BOX
Of course, there are numerous
wedding suppliers of high calibre
elsewhere. When you really want
one, and have checked his past
works, go for it. At the end of the
day, we want to select vendors
we are comfortable with. Just
remember to be specific about
the time and other details and
