The Path to a Risk Elimination Culture _______________________________________________________________ A Risk Elimination culture is not an 8 hour a day event nor is it limited to a single type of activity. Instead it reflects an attitude that represents a person’s core values. In order to achieve a Risk Elimination culture all employees must embrace it as a core value. In order to develop a Risk Elimination culture a holistic approach needs to be taken that transcends the workplace and EHS. Employees need to understand the reasons and benefits of a Risk Elimination culture and embrace it both on the job and off. There are three doors on the way to a Risk Elimination culture, the first is awareness, the second is process and procedures and the third is integration as the way business is done. Fundamental to this is an understanding of the risks. ©2014 Enhesa. All rights reserved Global EHS Risk Management 41
