Environmental Audits for Environmentally Hazardous Activities

Draft law on Environmental Audits would impose
regular compulsory environmental audits for
environmentally hazardous activities.
Facilities would be required to perform regular
environmental audits, if they perform one of the following
activities:
•
Neutralisation or landfill of class I-IV wastes (every year, except
small and medium companies)
•
Development and implementation of emission reduction plans
•
Development and implementation of projects aimed at the
remediation of damages to the environment
•
Performance of measures aimed at the decontamination of
territories with radiation pollution
•
In other cases, as may be prescribed by the Russian
legislation
