Wastewater Discharge Systems

As of 1 January 2015:
Installation of local wastewater treatment plants is compulsory for
facilities manufacturing:
•
Synthetic surface-active substances
•
Construction materials
•
Paints and varnishes; etc.
Installation of wastewater treatment plants is also compulsory for
facilities using or generating the following substances:
•
Acids and acid solutions
•
Alkaline and alkaline solutions
•
Chlorine organic compounds, including PCBs and PCTs
•
Volatile organic compounds (toluene, benzene, acetone,
methanol, etc.)
Failure to install and operate local wastewater treatment plants may
lead to the suspension or restriction of water supply and discharge
services
Wastewater discharge limits are to be set by the authorities
