Major Changes Introduced by the Industrial Emissions Directive ______________________________________________________________ Facilities whose activities may cause soil and ground water contamination must prepare a baseline report that will be used as a reference when assessing contamination at the closure of operations. Authorities will review and regularly update issued integrated permits whenever the European Commission adopts Best Available Techniques (BAT) conclusions.
