USA: In August 2013, The U.S. Department of
Labor's OSHA has cited a large hardware retailer
for eight safety violations, including seven repeat,
carrying proposed penalties of $150,700 after an
inspection at its Reynoldsburg store
USA: May 2013 – A

UK: October 2013, Glass company fined for
exposing workers and visitors to asbestos after
they had informed fire alarm installers that
building was asbestos free.
USA: The nation’s second largest grocery store
chain has agreed to pay a $600,000 civil penalty
and implement a corporate-wide plan to
significantly reduce its emissions of ozonedepleting substances from refrigeration equipment
at 659 of its stores nationwide.
UK: 2009, Oil & Gas company fined £300,000 +
costs. Unable to use offices for 2 days. Fire
officers found extensive breaches, including
blocked escape routes and fire exits, defective
fire doors and excessive fire loading.
