London/U.K.
“I believe studying abroad is essential to the
learning experience. I have participated in five study
abroad/away programs (Galapagos Island, Model
United Nations New York, Ireland, Cuba, and United
Kingdom). With each program, I learn more about
myself while gaining an understanding and appreciation
of different cultures. This is something that just can’t
be done in a classroom. As a student, I initially studied
abroad to see more of the world. What I didn’t expect
was to learn how to adapt in diverse situations and
discover new ways to problem solve. I used to be afraid
to go outside of my comfort zone, but through studying
abroad I’ve learn to expand it.”
