explore humanity in themselves and others.”
Dr. Edgar Johnson, a communication professor
who assisted with designing the program,
believes that many students, especially freshman,
enter college with the mindset of only taking
courses that deal with their major. This can
prevent them from branching out and gaining
experience and skills in other fields that will assist
them later on in their future careers. He also
hopes that the Arts Incubator “will help others
see the University as more than just a health and
science school.”
As the University adds more residence halls,
Pamplin is considering additional LLCs, such as a
Spanish language and culture LLC in the future.
