“When you see Violence Awareness events on our
campus in the fall or Take Back the Night events on
our campus in the spring, it is because of Dr. Foley,”
said Davies.
Foley is encouraged by both of these awards and is
happy that others are supportive and recognize the
planning and hard work that goes into month-long
event series like those raising awareness for Domestic
Violence and Sexual Assault.
“I just felt very grateful to the colleagues here at
AU and out in our community who nominated me,”
Foley said. “Each of these awards means a great deal
to me as they are each the result of nearly a decade’s
work bringing domestic violence and sexual violence
awareness and prevention programming to our
campus.”

system, including Gender and Victimization and
Social Deviance. She is also the Director of the Center
