"An Ambassador is someone within a region that servers as a liaison or coordinator for riders and hosts within that region. Our role is to train new judges, conduct launches for new hosts, and be an advocate for our region. We take great pride in our region, using our love for the organization to promote and grow ETS," Ian Jones

The Equine Trail Sports Ambassador Program is a person or pair of people who take on the leadership role and responsibilities for a region within Equine Trail Sports. Our main job is to launch new hosts and make sure they

have everything they need to put on successful rides with confidence. We walk them through the paces of hosting step by step to make their ride work smoothly and continuously without falter, and to give them the knowledge and confidence to host on their own in the future. Not all hosts are naturally comfortable standing front and center, but with a little nudge, lots of phone calls in the days leading up to the event, and the hands on coaching, they not only put on one successful event, but are conducting multiple events after their launch.

We help to guide them through any issues that may arise during their event.

The Ambassador Program provides benefits for both members and hosts. Hosts get the hands on training, as well as mentorship leading up the their events. We help to guide them through any issues that may arise during their event. Riders benefit mostly by enjoying the consistency they experience at every event. Within our region you will get judged to the same standard no matter where you are riding. You will be held to the same set of rules, interpenetrated the same way, and expectations will not differ from ride to ride. We take great pride in providing members a fair, balanced, consistent experience at every event. We also provide that familiar face for members. Some members will trailer 8 or more hours to attend a event, and seeing one of us their can give them the feeling of family. Our members look for us at the events, and truly enjoy us being there, weather we are judging, competing, or simply there to offer a helping hand to the host.

Jaci Weishaar, who partners with Ian Jones as Ambassadors for the N.W. Region, told us, "I enjoy meeting the new people, talking with new hosts and watching them realize how much fun hosting can be. Hosting can be challenging and time consuming, but the reward of watching the riders perform obstacles you set up and created, enjoy themselves, and try new things is a wonderful thing. It’s a lot of fun to encourage new riders to try something they have never done, and even more fun to watch them realize they can actually accomplish more than they thought possible with their horses.

Jaci also mentioned that the local aspect of the program gives hosts some piece of mind that she and Ian will be a go between when needed. "We are their first point of contact when they need it, and it makes many people feel like their questions and comments are being heard and

addressed.
