By the end of September 2015, we knew that GCHA was here to stay. There were a group of us that went to the AHCA National Finals in Missouri in October. Even though I didn’t know but a few people, it felt like a great big family reunion.

We loved every minute of it, and came back ready to tell everyone about the wonderful experience that National’s had been.

Look out National’s 2016, here we come!

Our fearless leader, Shelly Sylvester, had worked very hard with her horse Dunnit, and came home with1st place in Points for the year, and 1st place in the Open Division. A National Champion!

The excitement and momentum came home from Missouri with us. I am happy to say that GCHA has graduated to larger, stadium/fairground arena type venues, with a wonderful announcer, concession stands and beautifully built obstacles. We have gotten much better at paperwork and running the events more smoothly. Our last several events have seen 40 to 50 division riders each day.

We are looking forward to growing GCHA bigger and better this year. A great big “Thank You” goes out to Shelly Sylvester, who worked really, really hard to bring this wonderful organization all the way from Sheely's home State of Michigan, to our little corner of Texas.
