The tiny teams cover the Dallas/Ft Worth and surrounding areas, visiting on a regular basis with Ronald McDonald House of Dallas, Texas Scottish Rite Children's Hospital of Dallas and the Cook Children's Hospital in Ft Worth. Public and private schools, including children with disabilities, nursing homes, and camps are also visited throughout the year. Hospice calls are as requested.

The "Just Say WHOA to Bullying" program is currently being kicked off as well. This program takes a unique approach to teaching bullying prevention, by using animal-assisted learning to teach children to recognize and respect the differences in one another and values of acceptance and respect for others. It also helps to instill core values and build character while promoting a positive social environment, which in turn, fosters kindness and good citizenship. Animal-assisted therapies or activities are often used to help teach children with learning disabilities and behavioral issues as well as mainstream children to capture their attention and reinforce what they learn.

When the miniature horses aren't working making people smile, they are just like any other horse, grazing in the pasture with the rest of the herd. They are stalled at night and during poor weather. Like most horses, they love to run and play in the field while some like to chase and roll a ball around. All of the horses at Mini Hooves of Love have regular vet visits, are up to date on vaccinations and dental exams to be sure they are healthy at all times. Proper care and management is essential to maintain healthy and happy horses and insure they are able to continue to enrich the lives of those in need.
