Von Holten Ranch is a new trail riding facility near Sedalia, Missouri owned and operated by David and Brandy Von Holten. Von Holten Ranch (VHR) has been in the same family since 1906, making it a celebrated century farm. In December 2013, David and Brandy purchased the family farm, becoming the 4th generation to own the land. At that time, the farm had not been lived on for close to 30 years. A chainsaw had to be used to cut their way on to the property. When they were able to get to open ground, this is when VHR began to transform from a farm to a premier equine trail riding facility. David and Brandy were able to open by September of 2014, and have been going strong ever since.
The covered arena is available to rent from VHR to host your next event. In the fall, there are cowboy mounted shoots, horsemanship clinics and barrel racing! In addition to all the equine events, Von Holten Ranch opened their newest addition to the facility, a wedding and event venue! This can seat approximately 200 guests, is air conditioned and heated, and has three wheelchair accessible restrooms!
VHR now consists of 40 electric sites, 108 covered stalls, ~25 miles of trail, a guest shower house, 4 country chic cabins, a 12 stall boarding barn, and a 125X200 covered arena. With being a new trail riding facility, VHR hosts several events and competitions amongst a diverse group of organizations.
