"On our way to Brisbane one morning, before we could get on the road there was Stockman work to be done. As we turned off of the main road and headed to my property, 'Nuggets Rest', we could see two black heifers cantering down the dirt road before us, staying just in front of the rural postman as did his best to go quietly past them.

Another half kilometer and they'd be on the busy highway and that is by far, one of the most dangerous situations possible. But not today. I scooted down there on my trusty four wheeler (because I didn't want to run one of my horses down the road), slipped around them, headed them back to the hole in the fence from where they came from, fixed the fence and was back to the horses and on the road to the show in no time. The cattle pictured are just seconds after I returned the two renegades.

'Stockman' is not just two words shoved together ladies and gentleman, but a Creed to help all animals on the land and to give help to thy neighbour, even before he has a chance to ask.

Just sharing a few minutes of my day with you all and hope that yours has been just as rewarding as mine." ~ Guy McLean
