WE DAY Probs | Page 7

On the mounth of November, we collet and donate cans or none presuable food to Winnipeg Harvest. In fact, almost everyone went out on halloween night to collect these foods for Winnipeg Harvest. speaking of Winnipeg Harvest, here is what they do and why.

Their goals:

Winnipeg Harvest is like the Salvation Army except they focuse on food rather than clothing. They currently help to feed more than 60,000 people each mouth. That's a lot of mouths to feed. The organization also allowes volenteers. My sister went there to help sort food for an option class. And many of the workers there used foodbanks at least once in their lifetime. The want to, in a way, eradicate foodbanks. But they know that they're here to stay.

How thay work:

Just like I said in their goals(unless you skiped it). Most of the full time workers used food banks at least once. And more than 50% of Harvet's volenteers are, or have been foodbank users. These volenteers can/may do the following. Sorting, transporting, and delivering food. I'm mostly guessing at this point but my sister went there as said in the other section. They also give a reasonable amount of food to their clients
