Learning from Michelle Moore about photography and
modeling was a great experience! To start off the day
we asked her some questions about how she got started in the Photography industry and what she did to be
where she is today. She taught us about lighting and
how that fits with why a great location is most optimal
when photographing a model; what time of day is best
and so on. Next, we had our hair and make-up done by
Jamyrlyn— one of Seattle’s top make-up artists. The
clothing stylist, Sherri, delivered our first look for the
modeling shoot. We were then whisked off to the location for the day’s shoot with our second look in hand.
As Michelle took our photos, she also instructed us on
how to adjust the settings to get the perfect picture,
how to read the light for the best lighting on the face of
the model, and how to pose.
After an afternoon of learning
about photography, being
treated like top models, changing and posing we were finished. Thanks to Michelle and
her assistant Katy Lee, we had
so much fun and will value all
that we learned! Now we are
going to share it with others.
