Pride: When being content with oneself turns into being conceited. Being proud of yourself, or having high self-esteem is not a bad thing. However, when you take it too far, to where you believe you are superior to everyone else, negative aspects arise. Humbleness is lost in a self-centered mind. The respect you have for others’ actions, abilities, rights, feelings is at risk as well. Being arrogant is nothing to be proud of and no one benefits from it. If you believe you know everything, what will you ever learn? If you believe you are the best, how will you ever grow both emotionally and physically? If you believe you are the only one who matters, how will you ever develop a passion for anything besides yourself? Being overly proud only limits your ability to grow, learn, dream and aspire to great heights. “WE-BE aspiring to be inspiring” Do what you do best. Be you! Don’t let greed, envy and/or pride eat away at your greatness. Aspire to your dreams, and inspire others to aspire to theirs. Live the life you want. Be true to yourself. Do what makes you happy. Follow your intuition. Live your truth. By Megan Praat
