Rebecca Adams
I was born in the late 70’s into a single parent family but
raised by 2 powerhouse women – my Mom and my Nan.
I vow to myself to always remember where I’ve come from
- being a small child holding my Mom’s hand, as we were
knocking at my Nan’s door, homeless. I was carrying a
wooden stool and a teddy bear and my Mom with a deck-
chair, bag and the clothes we stood in was all we had...

he 2 Wonder Women taught me to be grateful
for everything in my life, no matter how small so,
gratitude was instilled in me right from the be-
ginning and it remains a big part of my life, even
more so today. Being present in the moment was
also a lesson to be learned as things can change
very quickly and so growing up was a challenge with abuse etc but
always knowing that I was and am a part of something bigger than
myself remained the core of my being and created the stillness and
peace inside of me.
I joined the British Army, became a mother and a single parent
myself and then my life changed when my son was diagnosed with
Autism and all that goes with it, when he was 3 years old.
Challenges grew and my mantra Keep Going Always ©
was born as I knew I needed to step up even more
to become the Wonder Woman that my Mom
and Nan had taught me to be.
Some of the challenges included
getting my son assessed and
diagnosed, speech and language
therapy, specialist education,
transport and the list goes on.
