Pirate Room at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort
First let’s discuss paying extra for any room. Uncle Scrooge says that it’s silly to pay for things
like water/pool views or preferred locations, but Uncle Scrooge is a Scrooge.
Sometimes it’s fun to pay a little extra for something special and the Royal and Pirate Rooms
are kind of special.
OK, so next let’s look at each of the hotels. Let’s start with the Royal Rooms at Port Orleans
French Quarter. Royal Rooms are the newest of the specialty rooms at the Moderate
Resorts. The Pirate Rooms came first and I think Disney learned a big lesson from their Pirate
Room experience.
The Royal Rooms are located in the buildings closest to Sassagoula Steamboat Company (the
main building). It’s a short walk across the bridge over the Sassagoula River.
That makes the Royal Rooms a pretty good deal if you’re looking for a preferred location.
