PHOTO BY MIKE BILLICK With the possible exception of the pools at Caribbean Beach and Coronado Springs, and the water play area at Port Orleans French Quarter, the only reason to stay at a Moderate instead of a Deluxe is price. The comparison between the Moderates and the Values is more nuanced, and for returning visitors and first-timers who want larger rooms, queen beds, or slightly better amenities, the Moderates can be a great choice. The Values always win on price—although Little Mermaid rooms at Art of Animation get close to Moderate price levels some times of the year. The Values in general also have more direct visual kid appeal, and more compact footprints than any of the Moderates. There was a time when you would find full beds at both the Moderates and the Values. More recently, almost all Moderates (the exception is the Pirate Rooms in Trinidad South at Caribbean Beach) have queen beds, while the values have only recently begun their
