At Port Orleans Resort Riverside you can book a horse-drawn carriage to take a peaceful
ride along the Sassagoula River. Your journey begins at Riverside Levee Marina and
reservations are recommended for this popular excursion. You can even rent a Surrey bike
and take your own private tour of the resort.
Want to try your hand at fishing? Just visit The Fishin’ Hole at Disney’s Port Orleans
Riverside from 7:00 AM to 1:45 PM. You can rent a pole and fish from the pier. This is a
catch and release program, so you aren’t going to be serving up any fresh fish for dinner.
If you’re looking for something to do in the evenings, Port Orleans Resort has family
friendly campfires where you can roast marshmallows and enjoy the comradery of fellow
guests.
Finally, you don’t want to miss the beignets at Port Orleans Resort French Quarter. This
traditional New Orleans dessert is served plain or with a variety of toppings. Stop by
Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory at French Quarter and get into the theme of the
resort by trying these. Your palate will thank you.
If you are looking for something to do outside of the resort, but not too far, Disney
Springs is a quick boat ride away. There really are so many things to see and do just by
staying at Disney’s Port Orleans Resorts.
