The Ranchos feature a small pool and are pretty close to The Dig Site, making it perfect for families who plan to spend a lot of time swimming. It’s also the quietest section of the resort. Finally, you’ll come across the Cabanas area filled with festive two-story beach front buildings surrounded by palm trees and hammocks. The pool in this section affords a lovely view of Lago Dorado and you’re just minutes from The Dig Site or across the bridge from El Centro. This is the area that allows you to have proximity to the most amenities, but it’s also nearest to the major construction being undertaken at the resort. A NOTE ON CONSTRUCTION Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort is currently undergoing an extensive construction period which is expected to last well into 2019. All of the rooms at the resort are being completely refurbished (many buildings are complete at the time of writing), a new tower is being built between Cabanas and El Centro to accommodate convention guests, a dining location will be added to the center of Lago Dorado and many other improvements are underway. Thus far, the impact to guest experience has been minimal. At this time, guests are being provided with a special set of Three Caballeros pins at check in as a thank-you for patience during the construction.
